Getting Here
Cartagena is easy to reach by air and well connected within Colombia. Here's what you need to know to find your way.
The closest airport. Arrive here whenever possible.
Colombia's main international hub. Great long-haul connectivity. Take a short domestic flight on to Cartagena (CTG).
You can fly nonstop to Cartagena from these cities:
Rafael Núñez International (CTG) is about 15 minutes from the walled city. Taxis, rideshare apps, and hotel transfers are all easy options after you land.
Official yellow taxis are plentiful, affordable, and a safe way to get around. Agree on a fare or ask for the meter before hopping in.
Uber Taxi is now operating in Cartagena, pairing local taxis with fixed, upfront fares.
The Old City and Getsemaní are best explored walking. Cobblestones and heels don't mix, so pack comfortable shoes.
Where to Stay
Our recommendation is to book a house within the walled city or Bocagrande (just know you'll likely need to Uber or taxi to where the events will be taking place).
